Andrew is the Managing Director of Announcer and its Founder. It was Andrew’s vision to establish a One-Stop-Shop solution for financial services back in 1996, which has evolved into one of Australia’s largest, privately owned firms.
After a Character building career in Cotton Chipping at Boggabri – and a very good time at Uni at Newcastle, Andrew moved to Sydney and founded the Announcer Group of Companies. Andrew love business and in particular the people that make things happen. He has a passion for teamwork and building confidence and energy in others based around clear shared values.
Andrew grew up in PNG, then Adelaide, then Camden, then Boggabri, attended a great boarding school and University where he was lucky enough to meet AJ, who is now his wife and mother of three great kids, Isaac, Oscar and Ellison. AJ and Andrew started Announcer with a dream and are both involved in Announcer.
Andrew like to spend time with the kids and enjoy coaching them in the soccer, baseball, cricket, and basketball pursuits. He keeps himself fit by playing Basketball and Soccer and has perfected the “if I sponsor the team can I play” tactic .

Ray is the head of Announcer Financial Planning with a team of 12 staff, nearly 5,000 clients and $500m assets under management. Ray’s financial services career commenced in 2000 and as one of the foundation employees of the Announcer Group, he initially began his advising role by managing over 150 of his own clients.

Prior to joining Announcer, Mickey worked at AMP providing superannuation, insurance, retirement and investment advice. Prior to that, Mickey worked at Colonial First State Global Asset Management for 3 years in the wholesale asset management sector, supporting fund managers and business development managers build relationships with institutional investors. Isaiah’s career in the Financial Services sector commenced in 2016. The majority of his duties relate to building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, along with offering support to a number of Planners to streamline the advice process.
He is currently undertaking a double Degree of Commerce and Arts – with majors in Finance and Philosophy – as well as his Diploma of Financial Planning. With a keen eye for detail and an abundance of financial knowledge, Isaiah works to ensure every client experience with Announcer is delivered in an exceptional manner.
Having competed in sporting events on a national level, he has developed a high degree of disciple and drive and utilises this to be diligent in all his duties.
With aspirations of progressing to a Financial Planner himself, Isaiah is currently increasing his financial knowledge and relationships to ensure he delivers the level of service Announcer is renowned for.
Joseph is the newest member to the Announcer Financial Planning team in his new role as a Relationship Manager. After completing a Bachelor of Business at UTS in mid-2016 with a major in Accounting and a sub-major in both Finance and Business Law, Joseph was employed at BT Financial Group within the life insurance department. Having gathered experience in this field, he found an interest in the Financial Planning space and has now joined the Announcer team. Josephs role as a Relationship Manager sees him being a point of contact for clients, helping assist through the initial advice processes as well as maintaining close relationships with client’s long term. Donie completed a 4 year Valuations Degree in Bristol, UK before starting his career in property. Previously working in retail and commercial property for Sydney’s most iconic buildings, Amy has a solid background in managing Client and Supplier Relationships. Extremely organised and highly detail focused, Amy uses her impressive skills to ensure that the Property Team is always prepared and primed; ready to go with whatever our clients need. An assistant from way back with a wealth of knowledge for anything admin based, her planning skills are off the charts. Having just purchased her first property in Sydney’s west, she spends her free time at Bunnings or Ikea armed with an allen key or electric screwdriver, constantly updating her home and brings this real life experience to her client service.

Chris joined the Announcer Group in January 2010. He is the Head of Announcer Mortgages, following an extensive 15 year career in personal and corporate banking. As the Australian Credit License Holder, Chris is responsible for ensuring that Announcer Mortgages has access to the best in consumer and commercial lending products. Chris’ previous Relationship Manager roles include 5 years within Commonwealth Banks Premium Banking and Corporate Banking divisions and St George Bank’s Corporate Banking, specialising in lending to businesses for property and professional services acquisitions. Chris is both a qualified Financial Planner and an Accredited Mortgage Consultant with the MFAA, and he is an integral part of the advice relationship we provide our clients. Chris specialises in residential lending as well as commercial lending and small business lending.
Tristan joined Announcer after spending 4 & a half years in the banking and financial services industry. He started at Macquarie Bank in Mortgage Operations, before focusing on a client facing role and moving across to Aussie Home Loans. Kevin Graduated from University of New South Wales with a double degree in Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics, by the end of 2013. (The world love an achiever right!) Kevin started with Announcer in February of 2014, and is currently studying for his CPA.
Annelise completed qualifications in the creative realms of Industrial & Graphic Design, initiating her career with companies such as Uniden, Sunbeam & Artifex as a product and furniture designer. Annelise enjoyed the next 10 years working with Design Studios & Advertising Agencies, working in Project & Design Management. Managing and co-ordinating clients’ product launches, advertising, marketing strategies, branding and design requirements.
AJ contracted out her skills, for the next 5 years, working with Toyota & their Strategic Marketing Team for the Asia Pacific Region. Co-ordinating with a team of agencies and event companies the launch of several of Toyota’s vehicles, and motor show exhibits. Working with the strategic marketing team of this company was an immense privilege, and cemented a firm understanding of marketing and its integral importance and success when communication is open and clear between divisions.
During this period of time with Toyota, AJ trained TV Presenters & Live Presenters in her evenings. Specialising in credibility, body language & assisting with techniques to help conquer those tricky ‘crutch words’ we all fall back on under duress.
Together with her husband Andrew Rocks, they founded Announcer Group, and started to build an organisation that they are immensely proud of.
Integrating nearly 20 years of overall experience, from her journey via Design agencies, Advertising Agencies, Marketing Agencies, Public Relations, Event Management, and her overall love of Design and Branding, she pools it all together for the Announcer Team.

After ten years at her previous job in hospitality working my way from shop staff to Supervisor and Staff Trainer, Ashleigh joined the Announcer Group at the beginning of 2018. Having briefly studied Secondary Education at QUT and finding a passion for education and training, but wanted to explore options outside of the classroom, Ashleigh was drawn to her current role in Customer Service and Administration where she could harness her love for training and combine thi with her organisational skill.
Ashleigh loves helping people learn new things and giving them the tools to reach their goals, and learning something new for herself in the process. In her current role Ashleigh works across the Financial Planning business, supporting thse team in an administrative capacity and working with other team members to make the “behind the scenes” section of Announcer run smoothly.
